Hidden River Arts hosts competitions and awards to encourage diverse writing from independent writers.  Please visit our blog where all of our book awards and our Hidden River Review awards are listed, and where the winners of our awards are announced.

Panther Creek  Nonfiction Book Award - for a book-length work of nonfiction, all genres, including essays - submissions accepted Aug 15 to Oct 31 2025

Some of these awards will be retired.  Others will be or have been combined. In 2025, we are also hoping to create open submission periods at least once a year to all genres - fiction, non-fiction and poetry.
