CELEBRATING OUR ANNIVERSARY

Hello and welcome to the website of Hidden River™ Arts.  We are the independent arts organization serving the literary, visual arts and performing arts communities.  Our organization is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the U.S.; but we have been building an international community of artists now since our founding in 1995, which makes this our 30th anniversary year.  Our motto is  "Dedicated to Serving the Unserved Artist" and that is exactly our mission.  We exist to provide help and encouragement to the creative community through service, support and celebration of all artists. 

Named after the Schuylkill River (The word "Schuylkill" is Dutch for "Hidden River") which winds its way through the region,  Hidden River™ Arts is committed to nurturing the artistic talents which may otherwise remain hidden by providing varied and supportive services to creative writers, and artists of all genres. 

Our supports over these thirty years have included writing workshops and classes, writing and (coming beginning in 2025) visual, musical and film arts awards, outreach and live arts events, blogs and an independent small press. 

The year 2025  was our 30th anniversary year for the Hidden River Arts organization.  It was also our 15th anniversary year for Hidden River Publishing.
